Haunted Week 2012

{This Girl Reads}

So you want to participate in Haunted Week.

The first rule of Haunted Week: there aren't any rules. This is just something I wanted to do on my blog and then realized other bloggers might be interested in. You can take my idea and change everything about it, or follow along and do everything I do. It's up to you!

To participate, just follow these two steps.

STEP ONE: Create an announcement post
This is simply a post with that big picture up at the top of this post (code is above) that announces to all your wonderful followers that you're participating. Post it anytime between now and October 24th.
(You can update that post with links to your new post every day.)

STEP TWO: Link up to my post
Copy the URL of your announcement post and submit your URL into the list here. Congrats, you're officially signed up!

So here's how I'm going to do the posts: I've created eight topics—one per day for the week before Halloween and one for Halloween itself. Below are the images and explanations for each admittedly punny topic

[The code below each image is for that specific picture. Simply copy and paste the code into your post each day! It'll automatically link back here.]

Above is a smaller version of the main image, as requested.

  1. Ooh, Chey! I'd love to be a part of it! (I'm not sure about reviewing a scary book though, because I'll definitely have to hunt up one that I haven't read! (Girl of Nightmares, I've been wanting to read that.) The Book of Lost Thing's should be on here too, lol. Scariest book I read as a kid. (Admittedly, it wasn't aimed at my age group, and I've read it again recently, and was dissapointed that it wasn't scarier.)

  8. I didn't read it carefully enough when I signed up, so if you would please change out my link to the following, I'd appreciate it. http://kddidit.wordpress.com/2012/10/19/haunted-week/ which I will put up as soon as I can narrow the graphic.

    I'd also appreciate a smaller PNG as my site is only allowing up to the "k" in "week" to show and it's not responding to my attempts to narrow the width. Probably due to the https...

      I've added a smaller PNG of the main image right above the theme images. Will that work for you?
